 I've completely forgotten how to do long-form blogging, but here are a couple of State of the Madison lists.

Personal:

• The ADD has gotten worse, or possibly the burnout.
• Fortunately, I'm getting an official evaluation done!
• The evaluative tests I did today were fresh hell.
• Also I had to send questionnaires to other people, and it turns out that things ping as much larger problems for me than they do for other people observing me, so I'm questioning this entire thing, perhaps I am just lazy.
• Anyway, I've been... struggling. As a human being. A lot.
• At least there are roasted squash seeds.

Fandom:

• Doing Yuletide for the first time ever! I have no clue what I'm doing! I've written 2000-ish words of characters talking and almost no plot so far, but that seems to be roughly in line with what the person I'm writing for wants, so I'm just going with it.
• Have started listening to Critical Role, or at least season 2 of it. I now have a terrible goblin child and a son who is Extremely Horny For Books.
• Seriously though I completely underestimated to what extent Caleb is horny for books.
• Asked Tumblr what fic thing to work on during NaNoWriMo, and they voted GabeNath, so I've been throwing words at my GabeNath accidental pregnancy fic. This resulted in a triple update day last week. I will never again be satisfied with the speed and volume of comments I get directly after posting a thing, I got like fifteen in nine hours and half of them were people screaming. How do people in actually large fandoms and pairings who write popular fic cope and/or remain halfway sane.
• I'm doing NaNoWriMo. I have written 25,594 words so far. Only half—well, just over half—of those are GabeNath I have promised people because the other 12,000-ish are all Wolf 359 related.
• Yes, I am still on the Wolf 359 thing.
• Am I writing a fic where Eris can't decide if she wants to fuck with Hilbert or just fuck him that has also somehow become a Hilbert Backstory Fic? Yes. Is this a very niche subject that only appeals to me? Also yes.
• Finished the Major Arcana for the Wolf 359 Tarot project finally and have finally accepted that I'm going to be doing a full deck, godDAMNIT.
• The one positive of getting the Major Arcana done is that I now have a really solid idea of how much to charge for the limited palette style art I've been doing, and have opened commissions in that style.

Possibly I want to do more long-form blogging, in the hope that it'll help make me less... scattered? Not the right word. But something.
