Anyway, it's just a giant pile of... well. I've written somewhere in the neighborhood of 3000 words of a Royal Arranged Marriage To End A War AU for the usual suspects in the past week, along with approximately 1200 words of absolute nonsense in the Dominatrix AU that I keep pouring words on. It's funny; I spent years (and years and years!) trying to write original stuff and didn't really write fanfic (though I read an awful lot of it), and completely failed to write regularly (or even very much) during all those years. And now I'm writing nothing BUT fanfic, though most of it is fanfic that is sufficiently removed from the canon it belongs to that it might as well be its own thing, and I will just sit down and pour out a couple thousand words in an afternoon like it's nothing.
I keep hoping I'll reach a point where I'm sufficiently motivated by an original thing that I can do the same thing with it, but I suspect I'll need to get to the point where I can finish writing a story, first.
